Beware of the power of your words

Beware of the power of your words

I am sure you also have those mornings when you wake up with one destructive thought after another chasing each other in your head, non-stop.  This then sets the tone for your day, which turns upside down before you have even brushed your teeth.

I had such a morning and decided to read from the Srimad Bhagavatam to calm down.  This did not seem like a good idea, because the section I chose went on and on about the people who attended an important meeting.  For each attendee there was an entire paragraph describing their background and so on and so on …. and so on.

Then I read one sentence that stopped me in my tracks.

One of the attendees was ‘… so powerful that simply by thinking of a son he can have it.’

This is how powerful our thoughts are.  We might not think children into instant being, but when we think of a person, those thoughts ripple their way to the person – like concentric circles that form when you throw a stone into a pond.

Imagine the kind of damage that you can do without even saying a word – just with your thoughts.

I know that I have this power of thought, because I use the power whenever I do a psychic reading or distance healing for a client that I have never met in person – and often this client is in a different country and a different time zone.

This reminded me how important it is to start your day with thoughts of gratitude for what you have and for what is coming your way.  That is far more constructive, don’t you agree?
