Kahlil Gibran said in The Prophet: ‘ But you, children of space, you restless in rest, you shall not be trapped nor tamed. Your house shall not be an anchor but a mast. It shall not be a glistening film that covers a wound, but an eyelid that guards the eye.’
Kahlil Gibran lived from 1883 to 1931. He must already have had an inkling of what was to come nearly a century later.
Most people are still stuck with a single moon landing in 1969 that was supposed to be epic. We are only now becoming aware of research crews who do regular trips from earth to the moon, the Andromeda galaxy, Ganymede (a moon of Jupiter) and other information about space and alien races that have been hidden from humanity for centuries.
Some of us are “children of space” and we have always known it. I have felt misplaced on earth since my earliest memories. I can recall a day when I was in nursery school and about four years old. My classmates were playing outside, and I did not want to join them. I wanted to rather do some colouring in, because that would allow my mind to wander to pleasant places and wonderful times. However, the school system said that the timeslot was meant for outside activities, and the teacher was obedient. I can recall how, on that day, as a four-year-old I realised that I was there but not from there. At the time it made no sense to me, but now it does.
If you are reading this or listening to the recording, you may have similar memories, or you may not have any memories, but have a distinct feeling that you will not be trapped or tamed.
Our time has come. We are called to show the way – not to cover up, but to help people understand and make sense of the changing world.
If you know more than the people around you, then you have a duty to meet them where they are and take their hand when they reach out to you. Do not bore people with a superior attitude and “I told you so”. Remember, there was a time when you also did not know. The time may have been two years ago, or it may have been two lifetimes ago. Now you know, and part of your duty with this incarnation is to take people by the hand – but only when they reach out to you and ask for your help – and guide them as you would have wanted to be guided.
Remember the Law of Non-Interference. Do not allow others to interfere with your journey, and do not interfere with the journey of your fellow human beings. You chose to get this message – I did not force it onto you. You can choose to walk away. Give the ignorant people who cross your path the same choice and the same respect.
