Maha Shivaratri

Maha Shivratri means the "Great Night of Shiva". 

This Hindu festival is celebrated every year on the 13th night/14th day in the waning moon of the month of Maagha (as per Shalivahana) or Phalguna (as per Vikrama) in the Hindu Calendar.

The Tibetan New Year is also celebrated in Bhutan and Nepal.  

It is celebrated in January or February, depending on the lunar calendar.
