Saint Joseph's Day

19th March is the principal feast day of St Joseph, the spouse of Mary, the mother of Jesus. 

This is also a


feast day for carpenters, and Father's Day in Catholic countries like Spain, Portugal, Belgium and Italy. 

This date has been dedicated to St Joseph since the tenth century, and was inserted into the General Roman Calendar in 1621.
