Conversion of Saint Paul

The feast takes place at the end of the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity.  This feast is celebrated in the Roman Catholic, Eastern Orthodox, Oriental Orthodox, Anglican and Lutheran churches. 

Saul hated all Jesus stood for.  He was known for brutalizing Christians and harassing the Church.  In the year AD36 Saul was travelling to Damascus to annihilate the Christian community there.  He was blinded by a brilliant light and heard the voice of Christ saying,
