I read this oldie in The Book of Q or The Gospel of Thomas: “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened for you. For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks the door will be opened. What father of yours, if his son asks for a loaf of bread, will give him a stone, or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake? Therefore, if you, although you are not good, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will the father above give good things to those who ask him!”
The word which stood out to me is good. Here it is again: “…if you, although you are not good, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will the father above give good things to those who ask him!”
There have been times when I asked God for something, and I knew that I was afraid of asking for the wrong thing. That made me careful when I chose my words.
I have realised that when I ask from my heart, I receive. I may not receive when I want it, but I do receive when God is ready to give. It is as simple as that.
I have also received immense blessings that I was not even aware of needing until I received them. I channelled a book on healing over a decade ago, and I recognised the excellence that did not come from me. Then everything went dormant until much later.
Now I am being used as an instrument in healing that takes my breath away. I did not plan this, but when the calling came, I answered. My gratitude is overflowing.
